On February 12th, Mr. Hamm and Mr. Jenkins will teach a Womens Self Defense Class at the West Linn Dojo.

The Cost for this class is $10 with all proceeds going to the Clackamas Women’s Shelter. Space is limited so sign up today.

Being choked from the front can be a very intimidating type of attack. A person that grabs you this way usually has the intent to kill you. The proper execution of the proper technique is crucial. This technique combines a powerful strike, a lock and a takedown to devastate your opponent.

The attacker is standing in a neutral stance with both hands on the defender’s throat. When you practice this technique, be careful not to choke too hard. Just place your hands on the throat with no pressure. When doing the wrist-lock takedown, be careful no to go too fast or too hard so as to break the wrist.
